"Safer Kirklees" Drop Down Day

Year 10s took part in a Drop Down Day looking at how we can improve our community called "Safer Kirklees."

This gave students the chance to discuss and debate controversial issues like extremism and stereotyping. We looked at how social media can be used by different organisations to promote far right and religious extremist messages and considered how we can combat this.

The day also gave us chance to think about what was important to us and discuss what British Values means to young people today.
