Intermediate UKMT

Students from Year 9 to Year 11 sat a Mathematics challenge set by Leeds University in February. Lots of students received bronze silver and gold certificates, showing off their ability to really tackle some obscure logic questions.
Jake Marchington received the best in school and the best in Year 11 certificate, Josh Brooke received the best in Year 10 and Jamie Oldroyd the best in Year 9. In total 32 students gained a certificate, huge congratulations from everyone at Royds Hall.

Elise Sandiford said, 'It was fun because it wasn't like an exam... it was good to have a challenge'.
This event is held in February every year so if you missed out on a certificate this year, get practicing for the next one! See Miss Patterson or Miss Peverall for details.
