Restart A Heart Day

Added: October 22nd, 2018

For the second year running, our Year 10s took part in Restart A Heart Day with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service as we work to ensure that every student will leave school having being trained in CPR. We had firefighters, paramedics and first responders among the team that came into train our students.

This training is vital because only one in ten people who have a cardiac arrest outside hospital survive in Europe. However in some countries like Norway and the Netherlands where more people can perform CPR, survival rates are as high as 40%. We were very proud of our year ten students who stepped up to the challenge.
