Volume 11

Added: October 7th, 2016

The band ‘Volume 11’ starring Jack Wright of Royds Hall Community School, and his fellow band members Mike Roche, Zac Clayton, George Grady and Sam Butterfield , have been together since November 2015. They first met whilst attending Ricky’s School of Rock in Linthwaite, where they played every Saturday doing Rockjam, and have become great friends ever since.

Some of their early performances were played at Siddal’s Ex-mens Club and Rishworth School, for their annual rock festival. However, as time went by, this led to greater opportunities and they decided to enter Huddersfield’s Got Talent, arranged by Huddersfield Alternative Markets. The event was held at the Picturedrome in Holmfirth on the 20th August 2016. The band performed Highway to Hell by AC/DC and Horseshoes & Hand Grenades by Greenday. They impressed everyone so much that they went on to win the competition! The boys were also impressed with the result, as they walked away with not only the winners title, but a certificate, a trophy and £40 each, all sponsored by Simon Blythe.

Massive congratulations go out to Jack and his band Volume 11 for their achievements.
