Team Agers Watch ‘Grandma Remember Me’ Performance

Added: October 14th, 2015

The Team Agers visited the University of Huddersfield to watch the performance ‘GRANDMA REMEMBER ME?

The play was produced by AZ2B, a theatre group currently touring the country telling the beautiful story about a special relationship between a Grandma and her Granddaughter. It explores the importance of memories and relationships within our lives and how to keep and treasure them. Drawing on the experiences of living with someone with dementia, Grandma Remember Me is a moving story told through a mix of puppetry, drama and storytelling.

The Team Agers were all extremely moved by the emotional story with some able to relate it to their own personal experiences.  As a group working with older people in the community it is important that the students are aware of dementia and how it may affect those they come across during the intergenerational project.

The students showed a great level of maturity throughout the performance which brought a tear to the eyes of most of those in the audience.  The cast commented on how wonderful it was to see young people who are prepared to go out into the community and work with vulnerable older people.  AZ2B fulfilled their promise that they would tweet about our wonderful ‘Team Agers’.
