Royds Hall students organised a book sale which was held in school, at lunchtime. Students brought unwanted books in from home and sold them on to other students. The event was a huge success and £50 was raised. The money raised will be donated to Readathon, a nationally sponsored reading event encouraging children to read.

Readathon supports three exceptional charities; ReadWell, which provides books and storytelling to children in hospital; CLIC Sargeant, giving support to children and young people with cancer and their families; and Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity which helps ill and disabled children.
