Students Visit Eden Camp

Added: May 1st, 2018

History enthusiasts from all year groups set off to Eden Camp to explore what life was like during World War 2. Eden Camp is an old prisoner of war camp which had German and Italian prisoners imprisoned there but today the old huts have transformed into a museum that is filled with information all about the 1940s.

Re-creations of life in submarines, a bombed street during the Blitz and a 1940s street were combined with displays about women in the war, the life of the prisoners and many other aspects of life during the Second World War.

There were also bag pipers and military bands playing during the day.  We had a great day out and learned so much in such a short time.
