Team Agers Celebrate Over Dinner

Added: May 10th, 2016

The Team Ager students who have been taking part in the inter-generational project for the last term joined the Team Agers from Sycamore Grange for a celebratory dinner party at the Toby Carvery.

Over the term the group have had fun together enjoying a range of activities such as collage making, comparing childhood memories and a games session. Four of the students were very brave when they presented at the Yorkshire and Humber Co-operative Learning Partnership Conference last month. The audience were very impressed with the idea of the Team Agers and with how well Calvin, Jack and Chyna confidently spoke of the project, explaining what a difference it has made to them and the older people.

After tucking into a delicious roast dinner, and for some, a huge ice cream, the group were awarded with their certificates. Karina from Kirklees Neighbourhood housing presented two canvasses depicting photos of the group, one to be displayed at Royds Hall and the other at Sycamore Grange.

We are delighted that the project continues to be a success and is proving to be so beneficial to all those who choose to take part.
