STEM Competition

Super STEM at Royds Hall! Yet again four brave year 8 students, who have shown excellence across Science, Technology and Mathematics, stepped forward to represent the school in the annual Kirklees STEM competition.

They faced engineering mountains from marshmallows and spaghetti, eased a spike through an inflated balloon without it popping, and finally used all of their brain power to conquer the quick fire question round. They came in 6th place and gave the other schools a good run for their money.

Well done to Ismail Malik, Eva Plowright, Umair Rana and Alex Allan-Sutcliffe. Keep STEM-ing!
