A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Added: April 11th, 2014

Royds Hall Community School created their own interpretation of Act 3, Scene 1 in A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Honley Shakespeare Ensemble. They performed a modern day interpretation setting the Mechanicals in an old people’s home as their imaginations run wild with rehearsal. The Fairies were the nursing staff, who used sleeping pills to put people to sleep. The audience enjoyed this alternative and mad version of Act 3, Scene 1 and the students did really well to put on such a professional performance in a short amount of time.
