‘Aspire to Play’ Toy Library

Added: February 4th, 2016

Coming soon… Our younger students in reception and Year 1 will soon be the first children to have the opportunity to borrow toys from the new ‘Aspire to Play’ Toy Library. The library has been funded by the Kirklees Rural Committee and will eventually feature in each of our Trust schools. Every Friday in term time the library will be found in the concourse area and will be run by secondary phase student volunteers. It will be free to join with each member issued with a library card which will give them access to an exciting array of fun toys and learning games that can be borrowed for as little as 50p a week.

We need adult volunteers to help with the management of the library. If you, or someone you know are interested please ask them to contact Clare Ackroyd at Royds Hall Community School.

If you have any surplus toys that you no longer need and that are in good condition, we are grateful for any donations that will help to top up our collection.

We hope that children and families borrowing the toys will thoroughly enjoy them and that the student volunteers will gain valuable skills when managing this fun and very exciting project.
