Food for Life Partnership

Added: February 12th, 2014

This week a new working party was formed called The School Nutrition Action Group, also known as SNAG.
Mrs Hindle co-ordinates the group which includes various staff and students including: Mrs Tomlinson the school catering manager.

The aim of the group is to encourage healthy eating amongst everyone in the school. It will link with clubs in Food Technology and the Land- Based Studies group.

On the 14th February Leah Firth and Connor Armitage will accompany Mrs Hindle on a visit to the Two Valleys Radio station to talk about the work they do in Land-Based studies and the link with SNAG.
Next term, we will be starting a Gardening club. Part of the work in the club will be to grow healthy food to link with the ethos of SNAG.

This is the Land-Based Studies Group who have planted these pots to enhance the learning environment.
