Charity Cake Sale

Added: January 22nd, 2014

Community 1 decided to hold a cake sale to raise money for our chosen charity, The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. Staff and students from across school gave up their time to bake cakes, buns and biscuits which were then sold during break-time. Emily Howgate from 1RW also had the idea of having a “Guess The Weight of The Cake” competition. This gave people the opportunity to win a cake made by Community 1’s resident baker extraordinaire, Tyler Jowett from 1AK. The extremely impressive handcrafted chocolate cake weighed 2lb 14oz and was won by Mr Asquith.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, either through baking or buying. As a result we raised a fantastic £130 for the Forget Me Not Hospice. Well done!
