Royds Hall Community School is a successful and over-subscribed through school providing first-class education for 1160 children from age 3 to 16 across three sites, with 11-16 students based in the Wilson Building, 4-11 at Luck Lane Primary and 3-11, including nursery, at Beech Primary.

Primary Phase Health & Fitness Afternoon

On Friday 3rd February our Year 10 and 11 students delivered a health and fitness afternoon to our primary phase students at Luck Lane and Beech.


Tom's Running Success

Tom is making a real name for himself on the running scene. A regular participant in the Huddersfield Park run and a member of the Meltham running club,


Walking Bus

Boosters Out of school Club (Est 1995) is an Ofsted registered club based in Crow Lane School in Milnsbridge and provides breakfast club, after school club and holiday club for children aged 3-11 in a child led environment.


Year 7s Explore Castles

Once again, our Year 7s have been exploring castle design and construction by making their own castles.


Holocaust Memorial Day

This week to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, we are remembering the terrible events that occurred but also thinking about what it must have been like to carry on if you were one of the people who survived.



This week the Diversity Club has been taking part in a Diversathon, This is when we read books outside our reading comfort zone. We have selected books that are by authors from different countries, different religions or views, and LGBT+ writers too.


Drop Everything And Read!

Last term, the staff and students of Royds Hall joined in a week long campaign of Drop Everything and Read (DEAR)!

DEAR is a celebration of reading, designed to remind all ages that reading is a FUNdamental part of all our lives!


Back to School with Chocolate and Fairtrade

It’s back to school for fairandfunky! And last week we joined Beech Primary School in Huddersfield to kick start their project on Africa with a Chocolate and Fairtrade workshop.
