GCSE Provisional Results 2009
Staff and students are proud of our sustained and continuous improvement and we are currently celebrating our best ever GCSE results in summer 2009.
Examination success is clearly an important element in this and we, as a school, have worked hard to establish a firm and clear view that high standards of achievement in examinations are to be valued. This is as true for a student who has worked to the best of their ability and obtained a grade G at GCSE as it is of a student who has obtained an A* Grade.
The key factor is the point at which a student starts their study and how much we can help them to improve upon this — "the added-value"
- Number of students in school on roll in Year 11: 156
- Achieving 5 or more grades at A* - C: 72%
- Achieving 5 or more grades at A* - C (including English & Mathematics): 45%
- Achieving 5 or more grades at A* - G: 99%
