GCSE Results Day 2015

We are delighted to be able to congratulate our students on achieving our best-ever results, which show a full 20% increase from last year in the percentage achieving 5A*-C including English and Maths.

Would you like to become a Reading Friend?

This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in your local school and really make a difference to our students. If you enjoy reading and have good communication skills you could help some of our Year 1, Year 7 or Year 8 children improve their reading ability and build their confidence.


Fourth Annual Kirklees Spellathon

On the evening of Thursday 9th July, three students from Royds Hall- Daniel Harbour, Brandon Haigh and Jamie Oldroyd- took part in the Fourth Annual Kirklees Spellathon Competition.


Are All Minibeasts Scary?

Whilst exploring our Learning Challenge this term, our Primary Phase children have watched five wriggly caterpillars turn into five colourful butterflies.


‘Team Agers’ Celebrate

Last year we introduced an intergenerational project at Royds with the aim of banishing any misconceptions that may exist between younger and older people, reducing social isolation and offering students an opportunity to develop their social and leadership skills.


Royds Hall Prom 2015

For the third year running we held our Year 11 prom at the Huddersfield Rugby Union Football Club at Lockwood, a fabulous venue where we are offered exclusive use.


Joseph Delaney visits Royds Hall

Bestselling author Joseph Delaney came to school on Thursday 2nd July to speak to the Year 8 students. Joseph started by setting the scene to his newest title “Arena 13”.
