Royds Hall Community School is a successful and over-subscribed through school providing first-class education for 1160 children from age 3 to 16 across three sites, with 11-16 students based in the Wilson Building, 4-11 at Luck Lane Primary and 3-11, including nursery, at Beech Primary.

Drop Everything And Read!

Last term, the staff and students of Royds Hall joined in a week long campaign of Drop Everything and Read (DEAR)!

DEAR is a celebration of reading, designed to remind all ages that reading is a FUNdamental part of all our lives!


Back to School with Chocolate and Fairtrade

It’s back to school for fairandfunky! And last week we joined Beech Primary School in Huddersfield to kick start their project on Africa with a Chocolate and Fairtrade workshop.


Ailish Sings Her Way to Success!

Year 9 student Ailish is celebrating winning 3rd place, a prize of £50, in Huddersfield's Got Talent, a fundraising talent show in aid of the Mayor's Charity that featured performers from the local area.


Shakespeare Schools Festival 2016

Students at Royds Community School take to the LBT stage once again to perform in the Shakespeare Schools Festival 2016.


Window Lanterns

On Monday 21st of November a Local Artist called Rachel Ellis visited Royds Hall Community School to work with the GCSE Fine Art students.


Halloween Disco

Primary Phase children at Beech Primary and Luck Lane Primary both enjoyed a spooky spectacular disco for Halloween 2016!


Armistice Day

As part of a whole week of events to commemorate Armistice Day on Friday 11th November students have been involved in a range of activities.


Senior Student Raises Money for Cancer Charity

Senior Student Bako Jaza wanted to do something to raise money for a cancer charity. He decided to shave his head as he felt this related to the disease.
