Business Industry Day

On Thursday 7th July Mr Schofield and Mrs Leonard took a group of students to the John Smiths stadium to take part in the Kirklees Business Industry Day. Along with other schools they took part in a range of workshops and a career fairs to look at different career pathways available to them when they leave school.


Sports News

The under 13 Cricket team have had a fantastic season which culminated in them being crowned the Huddersfield Schools Division 2 Champions.


Royds Hall Student's Meet David Cameron

Shakespeare Schools Festival invited a selective number of Royds Hall students to a day at Downing Street. The lucky students who are all committed to extra-curricular Arts activities within school were given a tour of Number 10!


Aspire to be Active Holiday Scheme

We are excited to announce that the Trust has funded our first holiday scheme for children aged 8 - 15 and their families. The activities include Fun in the Forest, Photography, Filming, Den building, Family Fun Day, a trip to the seaside and lots more.


Careers Talk

On Tuesday 28th June, Andy Booth from Huddersfield Town F.C. visited school to take part in a Careers Talk.


Diversity Week

Royds Hall is participating in the national Diversity Week organised by Just Like Us. We are having lessons celebrating diversity and having speakers coming in to visit the school.


West Yorkshire Athletics Championships

On Saturday 11th June two students from Royds Hall were selected to represent Kirklees at the West Yorkshire Athletics Championships. Louis was competing in the 100m and Abby in the 200m.


School Visit to Pembroke College, Oxford

A former Royds Hall Community School student who graduated from Pembroke College, Oxford with a degree in Economics and Management hosted a group of current students and their parents on a visit to Oxford University.

Mental Health Session - July 2016

As part of our commitment to supporting the wellbeing of our students and their families we are pleased to be able to offer parents/carers the opportunity to attend a Good Mental Health information session on 12th of July 2016, from 18.00pm until 19.30pm at Royds Hall Community School.
