2012 has been a fantastic year for the Arts, with 83% of students achieving A*-C grades across all 3 subjects, and 97% of students achieving A*-G.
Congratulations and well done to all the students concerned!
The Arts subjects at Royds Hall are Art and Design, Drama, Music, Performing Arts and Photography. Although they are each very individual subjects, each one reinforces the lessons learned in all the others to educate the whole person through the senses, the imagination, and the emotions.
The Arts help improve each student’s academic achievement, positive social and emotional development, and imagination and thinking. Learning to paint, play music or act, promotes both curiosity and confidence that can be transferred to real-life situations.
What will be remembered about us is what we created and performed, what we designed and composed, what we painted and filmed.
